Electron Microscopes

Scanning Electron Microscope (JSM-6701F): Field emission gun SEM with semi in-lens detector and conical cold FEG allowing analysis of both, fine surface structures of delicate specimens at very low accelerating voltages and internal structures of a thin specimen using high accelerating voltage in STEM mode.

Scanning Electron Microscope (JSM-6390LV): Tungsten filament SEM with tilting and rotating mechanical stage and with low vacuum mode for analysis of unprocessed samples with residual water content or samples with non-conductive surface.

Transmission Electron Microscope (JEM2200FS): Analytical 200 kV cryo-TEM with FEG and in-column energy Omega Filter for high-resolution imaging (0.2 nm), collection of diffraction patterns and spectral data. Equipped with 3D-tomography system, GATAN 626 cryo-holder and TVIPS TemCam-F416 CMOS camera (16bit, 4k) for ultra-low noise cryo-imaging.

Transmission Electron Microscope (JEM-1010): Compact, Tungsten filament 100kV TEM with high contrast objective lens pole piece. Equipped with SIA model 12C high resolution CCD camera (16bit, 4K).

Cryo-processing Devices

Leica EM HPM100: High pressure freezing system for vitrification (cryo-fixation of samples in an amorphous ice). Suitable for cells grown on sapphire discs or in suspension so as for synthetic materials and composites. Provides excellent ultrastructural preservation of biological membranes and delicate structures .

Leica EM AFS2 FSP: Processes samples after high-pressure freezing and allows for low temperature embedding and resin polymerization by progressive lowering of temperature with use of freeze substitution processor (FSP) for automated reagent handling system.
